When you register: Vacationist collects personal information when you register; including your name, email address, zip code and password. Once you register with Vacationist and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us.

Cookies: We uses "cookies" to make Vacationist easier to use. For example, we use them to store your login ID (but never your password) to make it easier for you to login whenever you come back to Vacationist. Steps we take to keep your information secure: Vacationist keeps your account information on a secured server behind a firewall. When you submit sensitive information, like credit card numbers and passwords, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). We also encrypt sensitive information when it is stored on our servers.
How we share your information
When you place an order: We share your name, email and phone number with the partner hotel so you can check-in. No credit card or password information is shared with partner hotels.
When you make a payment: We will only share transaction information with those third parties necessary to complete the transaction and will require those third parties to agree to respect the privacy of your information.
When you invite a friend to join Vacationist: We will send your friend a message on your behalf using your name. We may also send up to two reminders to them in your name.
Transfer in the event of sale or change of control: If we sell the company, we may have to give part or all of your information so that the new owner can continue to operate the service.
To outside services or partners: You may receive messages from our business partners that may wish to offer you products or services that may interest you. All partners are contractually obligated to keep all information confidential.
Collecting information from children
If you are under the age of 18, please do not register for Vacationist. Because of regulations surrounding hotels, no person under the age of 18 can use the site.
