Why Stay At Guaycura Boutique Hotel & Spa
Choose a newly renovated 19th-century stone building as your base in the sun-drenched beach town of Todos Santos for a truly authentic Mexican getaway.
About an hour north of Cabo San Lucas in southern Baja lies the small Pacific Coast fishing town and noted artist's colony of Todos Santos. In the heart of its colonial quarter rises a brick building that served variously as a police station, post office, and art academy for 150 years before being turned into a boutique hotel in 2010. The 14 rooms are a pleasant mix of dark wood furnishings and rustic tile floors with modern luxe amenities like plasma TVs and Egyptian-cotton sheets. In the evenings, after dinner in the courtyard restaurant, relax under the Renaissance-style ceiling of the Moorish-inflected Bar Don Guillermo—or under the stars at the rooftop lounge by the pool and spa.
The hotel has a towering private palapa nearby that overlooks two miles of beach. (The Pacific surf is notoriously rough, so swimming is only on calm days and only at one end of the beach.)
Arrive at Los Cabos Mexico International Airport (SJD) which is approximately 60 miles from the hotel. Anticipate about 90 minutes of travel time.Esquina General B Topete y Legaspi, Colonia Centro, Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, Mexico

Why We Love Todos Santos
Get ready to snap pictures and make memories to last a lifetime: Some say this vibrant little oasis has the most mesmerizing sunrises and sunsets in the world framed by the magnificent Sierra Laguna mountains.
Top Restaurant: Café Santa Fe. People line up for the excellent northern Italian cooking at this excellect café, in a stucco house across from the plaza (hint: try for a table in the garden, scented with herbs and flowering vines).
Best Cocktails: La Copa Wine Bar. At the Todos Santos Inn, this bar features vintages by the glass from across Baja California in a clubby carved wooden bar or on the flagstone patio of the courtyard in this 19th-century hacienda that once belonged to a local sugar baron. Read More
Best Shopping: Art Galleries. In a town filled with artists, gallery hopping is your best bet to find the perfect painted souvenir. The concierge can help you find the many studios and art galleries around Todos Santos (you can even start with the hotel's own highly regarded gallery).
