Why Stay At Andara Resort & Villas PHG
An exquisite Thai boutique hotel complete with private villas, Andara Resort showcases the natural, tropical beauty of Phuket and nearby Kamala Beach.
Phuket, Thailand is known for its beachfront escapes, and the terraced Andara Resort, above Kamala Bay, is one of the destination's prized spots. Just a 20-minute drive from the airport, the five-acre property is quiet except for the sounds of the occasional sea bird calling from the treetops. Here, 26 pool villas (each with indoor and outdoor showers) are set around a 130-foot ocean-view pool, which is perhaps the best feature of the hotel, unless you count the property's two yachts, stationed in Kamala Beach Pier. The 37 suites come as big as four-bedroom houses: 2,000 to 9,600-square-foot spaces with separate living and dining areas, complete with a personal chef and attendant, and balconies that overlook the Andaman. The Beach Club and Beach Lounge, accessible by 10-minute shuttle ride to the north end of Kamala Beach, is where you'll find the sun loungers, hammocks, and a full-service bar for ordering up a Chang beer.
Opt for a visit during Thailand's cooler winter season (November - February). These months also have the most daylight.
Don't worry if your room is set high on the hillside. The resort has electric buggies to carry guests to the higher elevations.
Arrive at Phuket International Airport (HKT) which is approximately 20 miles from the resort. Anticipate about 45 minutes of travel time.15 Moo 6 Layi Naka Lay Road, Phuket, Phuket Island, Thailand
