Corinthia Hotel London
Why Stay At Corinthia Hotel London
Prime pedigree (spaces by David Collins, a Baccarat crystal chandelier, and the 35,000-square-foot ESPA Life spa) plus some of the city's largest guest rooms make this new spot the place to rest your head in central London.
The biggest, most expensive hotel-centric news of the year in London is this striking tower at the corner of Northumberland Avenue and Whitehall. The 294 rooms are luxe and very comfortable, with huge marble and limestone baths and dressing rooms lined in beautiful French oak and leather. The David Collins-designed bar is already a scene, hosting GQ parties and other fashionable fêtes; should you prefer serenity, book in advance for a reservation at the 35,000-square-foot ESPA Life spa—a bling-tastic sub-brand of the ESPA empire, where a 60-strong staff of physical therapists, naturopaths, aestheticians, and personal trainers patrol 17 treatment rooms on four floors, complete with relaxation pods, tepidarium pools, a glass-walled sauna, and 12 fireplaces scattered in lounge areas. The Corinthia's Massimo Restaurant and Oyster Bar is helmed by the estimable Massimo Riccioli, ex of Rome's La Rosetta, who's moved here to man the show. But it's the 5,000-square-foot Royal Suite that takes the prize, with its own spa, gym, and wine cellar, plus a wraparound terrace with 360-degree views from Big Ben to Canary Wharf.
London is known for its spectacular theater. Ask the hotel concierge to help arrange theater tickets to some of the most popular plays in London, like Kafka's Monkey, playing at the Young Vic theater, and Much Ado About Nothing at the Wyndhams Theatre.
Arrive at London Heathrow Airport (LHR), which is approximately 20 miles (40 minutes) from the hotel.Whitehall Place, London, England, United Kingdom

Why We Love London
Historic and cutting-edge. From monuments and museums to nightlife and afternoon tea, this metropolis, both bustling and refined, will surely show you the royal treatment.
Where to Drink: Meantime Brewing Company. Situated in the Old Royal Naval College in the heart of Greenwich, Meantime Brewing Company's first microbrewery is also a restaurant and café that serves up deli sandwiches on crusty bread or rock oysters by the dozen, though it's the beloved artisan and seasonal brews (strawberry beer) and the famous Imperial Pale Ale that steal the show. Drinks for two $17.
Where to Shop: Present. For the latest in modish menswear, visit the hipster boutique Present in fashion-crazed Shoreditch. Bowties, sports bags, shoes, and suits by covetable labels including Comme des Garçons are beautifully displayed in this always-bustling boutique.
