Why Stay At Madeline Hotel & Residences Telluride

Outdoors-loving guests are greeted by name at the Hotel Madeline in Telluride, an independent property with top-notch amenities (Pratesi linens, in-room fireplaces) and an unbeatable location within walking distance from winter ski slopes and summer hiking trails.

The Scoop

This chic property in the heart of Telluride's Mountain Village upped the luxury factor in Colorado when it opened in 2009. Though its 100 rooms and suites—set just steps from the Number 4 ski lift and the gondola into town—were built with local stone and timber, they're hardly rustic; each has a giant marble bath with separate soaking tub and shower, plush beds swaddled in Pratesi linens, and furnishings in burnished wood and tobacco-colored leather. Of the many amenities here—including an on-site skating rink, a spa and indoor pool, and the swanky REV restaurant—perhaps the most remarkable is the staff's attention to service. Every guest has access to a 24-hour concierge, who can arrange everything from ski rentals to dinner reservations and childcare services. Even furry friends get special attention, such as doggie beds and summer pupcicles at check-in.

Insider Tips

Tots in tow? Put the kids in the hotel's signature San Juan Outdoor School, where they'll go on hikes and take hands-on science and nature classes.

If you're suffering from après-ski soreness, take a trip to the nearby town of Ouray—where the famous hot-spring pools stay open until 9 p.m.

Preferred Airport

Arrive at Telluride Regional Airport (TEX), which is approximately 7 miles (15 minutes) from the hotel.
