Why Stay At W Atlanta Downtown
The newest W Hotel in Atlanta is set in Allen Plaza, for easy access to the city's downtown sites.
Of the trio of W Hotels in Atlanta, the 237-room downtown property is geared toward business travelers, offering easy access to the CNN Center as well as to cultural spots like the High Museum of Art. But even though it's suited for the convention center crowds, the property stands by its Whatever/Whenever service motto. It's not unusual for the on-site driver to head out on errands (most recently for a guest who needed a laptop charger); he'll also drive guests to Highland Park for exploring of-the-moment restaurants. Interiors are no surprise—they're typical W Hotel style, with mood lighting, crushed-velvet furniture, and beds with goose-down duvets—but the in-house BLT Steak restaurant is often filled with the city's most stylish locals.
The complimentary Acura service will drive guests anywhere within a two-mile radius, such as the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site in the Old Fourth Ward.
Stop in the hotel's bar, DRINKSHOP, which serves cocktails by New York mixologist Sasha Petraske (the ice is chipped from a 150-pound block).
Arrive at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Aiport (ATL) which is approximately 10 miles from the hotel. Anticipate about 15 to 25 minutes of travel time depending on traffic.45 Ivan Allen Jr. Boulevard, Atlanta, Georgia, United States
