Lafayette Park Hotel & Spa
Why Stay At Lafayette Park Hotel & Spa
A luxury resort in the hills of San Francisco's bucolic East Bay, Lafayette Park has French Norman architecture, a destination spa, and a California cuisine restaurant.
Lafayette Park Hotel, a wellness-oriented property with retro French-château architecture and southern European sensibilities, is luring travelers to the East Bay. The hotel's old-world vibe is most clearly felt in the central courtyard (complete with a gurgling fountain) and in the public spaces, which are filled with overstuffed furnishings and impressive flower arrangements. The pool is a great place to unwind, especially on hot summer days when the rest of the Bay Area is fogged in, and the 138 rooms are large and comfortable, with canopied beds, rich cherry-wood furniture, and gilded mirrors that lend a royal air (some also have fireplaces and vaulted ceilings). The property shines at its Spa at the Park and Duck Club Restaurant, which both spotlight local ingredients.
Spa at the Park offers a signature couples' candlelit massage (from $225), and if you book on a Friday between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., you can also partake in the spa's weekly champagne happy hour.
The hotel provides complimentary transportation to the nearby Lafayette BART station. From there, it's about 25 minutes to San Francisco's Union Square.
Arrive at Oakland International Airport (OAK) which is approximately 24 miles from the hotel. Anticipate 40 minutes of travel time.3287 Mount Diablo Blvd., Lafayette, California, United States
