Why Stay At Capella Marigot Bay Resort & Marina
This intimate boutique-style eco-friendly hotel overlooks one of the Caribbean's most beautiful coves.
The chic resort is set on seven groomed verdant garden acres on Saint Lucia's scenic west coast. Darkly sheathed buildings upward from the Marigot Bay marina house 122 elegantly designed Asian-inspired rooms with plantation shutters and teak floors. Air conditioning, complimentary high-speed Internet and refrigerators along with oversized bathrooms featuring walk-in drench showers come standard in each accommodation. The hotel offers three distinct pools, one with a swim-up bar and another reserved for kids who can splash about under a shady awning. Plunk down on a sunbed or rent kayaks and snorkeling gear at the nearby hotel beach. Getting there is a cinch: just board the small ferry and take a swift ride across the bay. Give peace a chance: Aside from soothing holistic and aromatherapy body treatments on-site Lapli Spa has a Zen garden for private meditation. To finish off the day in style, make sure to reserve a table at the resort's highly acclaimed Boudreau restaurant serving fine French-Caribbean fusion dishes.
Looking for something extra special? Ask your Capella Private Assistant about arranging for an exclusive yacht charter at adjacent Marigot Bay Marina, which is a posh boaters' destination.

Why We Love Marigot Bay
Described as the most beautiful bay in the Caribbean by Michener, the sheltering cove on Saint Lucia's western coast is densely forested and opens to stunningly turquoise waters favored for fishing and watersports.
Marigot Bay, Saint Lucia.
Where to Drink: Stick around the hotel's historic Hurricane Hole Bar (named after the local landmark), which is frequented by yachters and local landlubbers alike. Kick back with an ice-cold locally brewed Piton Beer and take in the panoramic views of Marigot Bay. Drinks for two about $10.
Where to Shop: Make sure to visit the lively public market on Friday or Saturday. Local women in traditional dresses sell a bevy of different fruits and vegetables typical to the island. Sample the numerous varieties of bananas, which are allowed to ripen on the trees. This is also a good spot to pick up Saint Lucian handicrafts and unglazed pottery.
One block from Columbus Square along Peynier Street, Castries City.
Outdoor Excursion: Explore Saint Lucia's hinterland and discover tropical rainforests, fishing villages and banana plantations via Sunlink's open-topped jeeps. The tour includes a short hike to a waterfall where you can take a refreshing dip.
$66 per adult.
